The type of treatment you receive will be tailored to your needs.
A typical session will begin with relaxing massage followed by deeper therapuetic massage and trigger point therapy (pressing deep into painful muscle points) and stretching.
This will generally be followed with relaxing heat therapy and finally specific spinal adjustments or realignments where the spine is particularly tight.
Patients generally find their treatments comfortable and enjoyable and we often find people have had a little snooze during their heat therapy.
Generally you will be given written exercises or instructions for home to speed up your health improvement and give you more control and responsibility.
The first thing we do is listen, we want to know as much about you as possible. Not just about what hurts or is tight but what has happened to you in the past, what is happening now, how it affects you and how you see your future health unfolding.
Traditional examinations such as neurological, orthopedic and x-rays are important but we often need to go much further to unravel the real cause of problems. That's why we generally assess muscle balance, weight distribution and posture as well as the traditional examinations to really understand what is wrong.
